Best in Your Town: Montclair was a labor of love that celebrated my hometown of twenty years, Montclair, New Jersey. I conceived, created, wrote, and marketed. I was essentially a one-person band! I used a WordPress template.
Another labor of love for me is my personal blog called illoinfo, dedicated to great editorial illustration. I originally created it using a Squarespace template and have since transferred it to my Adobe Portfolio website.
In 2006, I created my first-ever personal website. I wanted to create a unique look for it, which I think I achieved. I had a lot of design work that I had done in my many years working in New York City. It became a way of taking stock, looking back, and looking forward. I commissioned OTNJ to code and launch it. This was before website creation firms like Squarespace came into existence.

Darryl's New York, a wondrous fashion boutique on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, first became my client in 1986. I created a visual identity for them, including logo, all collateral, and the design of the store interior. Darryl has since opened a second store in Rhinebeck, NY. In 2000, Darryl invited me to redesign his website including adding an eCommerce section. I remain on a retainer, providing all creative services. It is a joy to be working with Darryl and his partner, Ed, forty years later! This website is created using a Squarespace template.
Alliance Advisors, LLC, is a financial services firm that was based in Bloomfield, NJ. They were a terrific client. I created their new identity, including this website design.
I created a prototype website design for The Historical Society of Bloomfield in Bloomfield, NJ. My home office was based there, so it was a nice connection. I also did volunteer work for them. Bloomfield was adjacent to Montclair, NJ, where I had lived for many years prior while commuting to New York City.
Thomas McDonough, Jr. was a highly regarded lawyer in Montclair, NJ. He hired me to create a brand identity for him. He was straight out of central casting, so it was a no-brainer to commission candid photographs of him in his office. His very presence inspired trust.

Development ii, inc, in Woodbury, CT, hired me to redesign their website. It was a very gratifying project to work on.
